“We have owned property in Transylvania County for years and had originally envisioned building on that property.  However, for convenience sake, we purchased in Straus Park when we decided to relocate to Brevard.   After nearly two years of living in Straus Park, we’re definitely here to stay.    The convenience of living in this unique, beautiful neighborhood with friendly neighbors and a real sense of community; amenities such as the hiking/biking trails, the lake, and tennis; immediate proximity to the expansive Pisgah National Forest, yet being literally within walking distance of town (and Poppy’s!) makes it a very appealing place to live.    Living in Straus Park puts the best of Transylvania County at our doorstep”.

We have been just spoiled by living here.  I’m minutes from Starbucks, restaurants, entrance to Pisgah, hospital/doctors offices, and even “downtown”, etc.      Yet our house gives us the “feel” of privacy and seclusion, yet the benefit of having neighbors within “hollering” distance.   Obviously last year during the snows, it was cool to be able to just run down to Poppie’s in my Polaris to eat or pick up food.    So both Lisa and I have been totally spoiled by the convenience of living here, and it will definitely be a big adjustment to move elsewhere. Billy has consistently been a multimillion dollar producer specializing in large land tracts and luxury homes.  He consistently ranks as one of the top producing agents in Transylvania County.

After graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University in England he set out on a 4-year adventure traveling and working his way through Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Thailand and North America before he settled here in Transylvania County in 2002.

An avid outdoor enthusiast, Billy enjoys mountain biking, hiking and running. He also serves on the Transylvania Youth Soccer Board and coaches youth soccer.   Family is an important aspect of his life.  Billy and wife Kristy were married at “Pretty Place” in 2003 and they now share their life with their daughter Emma and two yellow labs.
